Pay more for less - The Apple Way!

 We're going to talk about one of the most controversial moves by Apple in recent years: removing the charger and headphone jack from their iPhone boxes. 

First of all, let's talk about the charger situation. Apple announced in 2020 that they were no longer going to include a charging brick with their iPhones, citing environmental concerns as the main reason. While it's true that producing and shipping millions of chargers can have a significant impact on the environment, some people couldn't help but wonder if this was just a way for Apple to save a few bucks and sell more accessories.

I mean, come on, Apple. We get it, you care about the environment. But do you really expect us to believe that you're doing this out of the goodness of your heart? If you're so concerned about the planet, why not start by making your products easier to repair and recycle?

And let's not forget about the headphone jack debacle. Back in 2016, Apple made the controversial decision to remove the headphone jack from their iPhones, claiming that it was a bold move towards a wireless future. But for many of us, it just felt like a money grab.The removal of the headphone jack from iPhones gave birth to a whole new industry: dongles. 

These small, often expensive, devices allow users to connect their wired headphones to their iPhone through the lightning port. And as it turns out, this new industry has been a big business for Apple. In fact, the company's dongle sales have reportedly exceeded $1 billion in revenue. While some consumers may have been frustrated with the need for these extra accessories, there's no doubt that the move has been a lucrative one for Apple.

I mean, seriously, Apple? You expect us to shell out more money for AirPods or other wireless headphones just because you decided to remove a perfectly functional and universal port? And let's not forget about all the people who lost their beloved wired headphones or had to carry around dongles just to listen to music on their new iPhone. Come on, Apple, give us a break!

In all seriousness, though, these decisions by Apple have sparked a lot of debate and frustration among consumers. While some people appreciate the company's efforts to reduce waste and embrace new technologies, others feel like they're being forced to buy more accessories and spend more money just to use their devices.

At the end of the day, it's up to each of us to decide whether we want to continue supporting Apple and their decisions. But hey, at least we can still charge our iPhones and listen to music...if we're willing to pay for it
